I prefer LCD and ill tell you for why. I have 2 lcds and one plasma, the sharpness and brightness on the lcd's cannot be beaten by plasma. Plus I use one of the 42" as a monitor and the extra detail on the lcd is needed; plus I don't want to risk burn-in
Plasmas do have their advantages though:
- they give far more natural deeper colours
- especially good at black detail
- handle motion better (great for football)
- cheaper
OLED all the way!
However between LCD and Plasma, definitely LCD!
I'm using a 22" LCD atm, and i don't plan on changing it until i can buy a 22-24" OLED, 1920x1080, Multitouch screen for max 300 bucks!

LCD - for the big picture i would recommend a HD-Beamer!
I use LCD..
I prefer LCD because it is more efficient than plasma. With LED LCD screens soon the problems with dark colors with be alleviated.
LCD all the way, IMO.
im going to have to say LCD screens are the absolute best not for the quality but the price and lifespan, Especially with the new LedLCD tv's make my brain tingle, plasmas only last for about 2 years and break easily..
