    To help TI i was hoping to develop a program which would scan a users(existing and new comers) hard disk for known ratio cheating softwares and help us(TI Community) in determining whether the user ratio cheats or not.

    I would like to know if this idea is agreeable to the users here or its just lame as a hard disk scan would be akin to invasion of privacy.

    Also if it is agreeable could you'll help me by noting down the names of ratio cheating softwares

    The ones i know of are
    --> RatioMaster
    --> Greedy Torrent

    Thanks.

    Though I'm no ratio cheater, I would absolutely not be in favor of this. There are a lot of different ways to find cheaters, without having to invade their hard drives. That's a bit overboard if you ask me. This is the internet, and we don't really know anyone. If you feel that someone is cheating, simply report them or don't offer them an invite. Just my two cents, but I vote NO for this. Sorry.

    I don't have a problem with my computer being scanned for cheating software, what I take issue with is an anonymous person on the internet writing a program and my computer being scanned with that program. I'm just not that trusting, sorry.

    I have to agree with iWaffle, it is going too far and I think it would chase users away. Plus people will always find a way to cheat no matter what you put in place to stop them. Most of the time I think things like this just make legit users jump through more hoops while not really solving the problem.

    This sentence sums it up perfectly. Those who cheat will always find a way around it, but it only makes it more difficult and less worthwhile to those who are legitimate.

    pls delete the names of ratiocheat programs. it might give some idiots an idea.

    btw thumbs down for me cause i dont like my comp being scanned and its useless anyway cause it would be easy to hide the cheat from the program. unless you want the program to run 24/7, which i doubt people will enjoy.

    dunno if you are talking about remote scanning though but that just seems wrong all together.
