Thread: What.CD Ratio Help Needed!

I am very lucky to have to tracker What.CD. But there is a problem.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that I can't upload (Due to the fact that all my albums are already up in all codecs) & seeding is difficult, my ratio is appalling.

The person who gave me the invite is probably pissed off because I told them I would upload more than I download & that isn't happening despite the fact that was the intention.



What.CD is a great site & I really don't want to get banned or endanger the person who invited me.

So I need everyone's help.... I need some tips on how to keep a good ratio on a slow connection that isn't always connected on a tracker where everyone seeds & there aren't many leechers. I can't be banned yet as I haven't downloaded over 5GB, but I'm trying to download more stuff on the intention of seeding it. But last time I tried it, it just didn't work.

So can anyone help me out?

Well,first of al it's OK,there is no need to get trippin' since all people in What.cd complained from the same problem...all you have to do is :

1. Jump on newely added torrents as soon as possible,since this is proven to be the only way to get your ratios fixed quite fast.Just try to download,then keep the file seeding till you get a ratio of 3.0 or above on every file.That way you will buffer a decent upload amount in no time...

2. Take the advantage of FreeLeech events held there occasionally to fix your ratio (you should have joined the last FreeLeech event that ended a couple of weeks ago).

3. Always keep an eye on large packs as most of the members there just hunt them like birds whenever they got a chance,those also can help imporving your Global ratio.

Yeah but I guess he already mentioned that he couldn't find anything suitable to upload since all his albums already got upped there with all possible formats...

What.cd is very hard to keep up with,they are monsters man with freaky 100MB/s+ speeds....

well just grab an album from another site and upload that simple

You'll also find that some (exact same) torrents are available on public trackers as well. In which case it's possible to download it from there, you're able to seed on what.cd without having upped the download ratio. It won't make a huge difference, but it helps a bit.

But to be honest, finding a torrent that nobody else has up there is really what helps. Extra bonus for filling a request. At the end of the day, someone has to rip and encode stuff. If you really have nothing that you can rip and seed, then try converting some FLACs to V0 MP3 and seed that if it's not there already.

Dude! Cross seeding! Find all those really large fat torrents (40 GB, etc.), download em from somewhere else and then seed them on What! Your ratio will increase like magic!

If you don't have your own albums or if they're all up already, upload scene releases. But you'd need a pretty good site that gets them almost as soon as they come out.
