Thread: PS3 or Xbox ? which is better ?

i am for PS3 Cuz Ps3 Games is So Good and Reliable and this Console is better than Microsoft ones (Xbox)

i have every current system, X360 i find has funner game titles, PS3 has nice graphics. i only bought the PS3 for bluray. and FYI PC is king of all. it has the most games, the best games, games are cheaper, online play is free (mmorpg's dont count) the ONLY advantages the consoles have over pc is they are simpler to get started with, are currently cheaper now that they are older, and have a few brand titles you cant get on pc(with out hacking) Halo, Mario, etc. I would say they have the advantage of being able to play 2or4 player games on one tv, BUT most titles i find require that you have two tvs and two systems networked together to play the same game on, it is RETARDED that i cant play a simple racing game with out owning two of everything, and since i find that the case, PC games also have the same issue.

BUT WHO NEEDS REAL LIFE FRIENDS WHEN I GOT FREAKING STEAM FRIENDS ON THE INTERNET, THE BEST PART IS I CANT SMELL WHEN THEY FART! so F«©! YOU XBOX, and F«©! YOU SONY! I WIN!

Ah, the everlasting discussion that has no real answer.
Hmm... well I have a ps3 myself so I think i have to say ps3!
But every1 knows, and has to admit, that the online features of the xBox are better than the ps3's but the technological power of ps3 is way better than that of the xBox.

In the end it just depends on your taste and preference of games rly.

Ok this one is difficult to call. I have both consoles so I think im in a pretty good position to help. There are fewer and fewer games specific to each console now so you'll have to work out which ones your interested in (e.g Final Fantasy long time sony only game will be on xbox in march)

Ill start with PS3

Pros:
blu ray drive
free online (not needed by you)
few reliability problems
More processing power (not fully utilised yet)
can run linux
hard drive cheaply upgraded (without voiding warranty)
brilliant media streaming when coupled with PS3 media server or Tversity
wi-fi as standard

Con:
Known to crash on occasion
more expensive than xbox
annoying forced install of some games (lengthy at times)


Now Xbox
Pros:
Better online (but costs)
smoother anti-aliasing
3 year warranty on ring of death

Cons:
Ring of death
decreased draw distances
lower processing power
game size limited to DVD-DL (a problem in next few years)
no wi-fi as standard

I saw a number of people have said you can mod xbox. This is true, however, just before xmas microsoft bricked almost 1 million xbox's that were modded, severely limiting their functionality, most notably online play and the ability to install games on hard drive.

All in all i would probably recommend PS3 I know I use it a lot more than my Xbox. I hope this helps

The ps3 got better graphics, but i like the games on xbox better than the games on ps3. Also, xbox live is awesome even if it you have to pay

PS3, because it doubles as a game console and blu-ray player. AND it has Final Fantasy!

PS3, I can play bluray discs and It has upgradable hdd which I can use it.

XBOX 360 is better in every way.
