Excluding the obvious choices of utorrent, firefox, media players and such (seeing as how these are necessities for most of us). I use a variety of monitoring software such as speedfan, CPU-Z, GPU-Z.
Also I use a lot of converting programs for video and audio alike. ConvertXDVD, AVS Video Converter, mkvtoolnix.
One of my favorite programs as of late to use is MediaInfo.
firefox, mirc, norton, ccleaner, digsby
u-torrent, firefox , winamp
for me its Google chrome, uTorrent, VLC and windows media player

The main things i use everyday are Mirc, utorrent and firefox.
And like Enigma78 i use a bunch of diffrent hardware monitoring programs since i like to OC my computer and try to find its limits :P
