I also use VLC.
I use Foobar2000 0.9.6.4,its much faster then Winamp.

I basically use VLC and foobar.
VLC for all the videos and foobar because of the FLAC playback.
Both are very light and do their jobs very properly without messing around with codecs and such.
On Ubuntu and Sabayon I use VLC and respectively Exaile and Amarok.
VLC has always played everything I throw at it..Media Monkey for Musica!

Kmplayer works fine :)
I use Media Player Classic for all videos and Windows Media Player 11 for music.
