Well I used to snatch almost everything, but now I just download things I collect (such as new series episodes, or radio show eps), and the new mainstream dvds.
But I'm an addict because I visit my trackers almost every day... ^^
I look many times during the day. If anything new pops up I may like, I download it. It get's seeded until I need the drive space.
Just got 1 TB hdd so I grabed alot of stuff lately. But was doing it before on the seedbox. I get what's popular and keep seeding for a while on the box.
With my home connection I plan to seed longer cause I am not concerned about storage capacity...yet :)
When It comes to movies I grab nearly everything I can, but some movies I know I will never watch won't get downloaded.
I try to always be downloading at least one thing. im a music whore so its pretty easy to always find something new that i need. and my cpu is always running to feed my addiction.
I would consider myself a torrent addict. I download torrents that will improve my trackers' ratios; torrents that I need now; and torrents that will benefit me and/or my family/friends in the future. The computer usually runs 24/7. After coming back from work, I go to my computer and check the download status of the torrents, as well as check my ratios. My wife gets upset asking me what am I going to do with those Western Digital external HDs (My Book) lying on the floor.
I can't even remember how many movies I've downloaded that sounded interesting that I never watched. I regularly check my torrent site everyday multiple times, and jump on torrents to get my ratio up. SSH'ing into my seedbox gave me the push I needed to move to Linux.
I am definitely addicted.
I have to say that yes, downloading can become addictive. I make myself hold back because realistically how much of all that content can you really enjoy? For me it's quality over quantity. Despite holding back, there's still a lot of stuff I haven't listened to or watched. Thank goodness I don't really download movies or TV.![]()
Hey, I'm an IT guy and my co-workers and I have always joked about people asking we could download the internet onto "this floppy".![]()
