Thread: Help is needed on some program

Hello to all,



I'm having a problem with a program and i would love some help.

What i'm trying to do is to download automatically (all at once) plenty of fotos on a site.
I have tried the "downthemall" plugin for firefox, which supposedly does this thing, but the only thing i managed to do, was to download the thumbnails of the fotos, but not the actual fotos with their actual size (the one that you see after you press on the thumbnail).

Specifically the site i'm trying to download from is the fillowing:

don't worry, no porn there (it's from a Nike run competition)

as you can see there it has like 58 stripes of fotos, each stripe is a group of around 35 fotos and if you press on the stripe it takes you to the page with the thumbs from those 35 fotos.
Now i tried downthemall both on the first page and on each stripe page, and the result is the same everytime, only thumbnails are stored on my folder.

If anyone can help out and know of a way to achieve what i want please let me know.

Did you try selecting the links tab instead of images tab? 'cause full size images are usually linked only in some sites.

yeap buddy, been there done that!
in the links tab, it downloads some html files (index etc etc) that have to do with the page layout, didn't find any fotos.

There's also another addon called ThumbsDown. With that addon, you can Download the original full size images from a page full of thumbnails. Maybe that can help you.

that addon from what it says must do what i want, but is a bit weird to handle.
i added it, but it needs to put in it some scripts in order to work, i don't have any experience with this kind of stuff, but i tried to make a script for the fotos on that site, but nothing worked, either i did something wrong, or it doesn't work as advertised.
