If you post this in the Computers or Games section you'd probably get more responses

    Hope that helps

Red Orchestra is one of my favorite games. You computer should be able to handle it. It's not a rpg, but it's a multiplayer first person shooter.

Red Orchestra is a very unique game even considering its setting of WWII. I can tell you some of my favorite things off the top of my head. It has many weapons about 20-30. One shot kills to vital areas. Projectile trajectory drops and that means when you shoot longer distances you will have to aim a little high. Bullets aren't instant and they travel as fast as the velocity of the caliber. Covering fire is effective and camping will cause your team to lose the match.

Tank combat is both realistic and arcadey to make it fun. Smaller caliber guns cannot penetrate the armor of heavy or some medium tanks. There's not really tank hit points. A shell can travel through a tank and do no damage if it doesn't hit a vital area. Shells are not very effective when hitting sloping armor (the shell will just bounce off) but a larger caliber will still penetrate light armor no matter the angle.

Overall this is the most realistic multiplayer shooter I've ever played. Even more realistic than Operation Flashpoint. It's not completely realistic and no one would really want that anyhow. It's a blend of arcade, intense action, and realism.

I forgot to mention that is entirely the eastern front. Germans versus Soviets and there are mods for other theatres.

If any of this sounds interesting to you then you can buy it off steam for $5. The developer is very small and well deserving of the money.

I am looking forward to Red Orchestra 2 coming out soon. It should be sometime early next year, but if you play the original for now you will find nothing else like it out there.

If you're really interested in RPG's, then definitely go for Dragon Age: Origins (even though it just came out a while ago)

! I'm not 100% sure how well it would run on your computer, but my PC was pretty average when I made it 3 years ago, and it can run the game well enough. But check that game out, it's basically the only game I'm playing these days lol.

If you have the specs to run it, I would recommend Fallout 3. It was both highly immersive and highly addictive. Here is a link to a good description of the game: Fallout 3 - The Vault, the Fallout wiki - Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas and more.

    Good luck!!

I have recently started the game Company of Heroes. Haven't really gotten much into the game yet, but buddies that have played it say it is pretty fun.

Company of Heroes is a legendary game.

If you want an RPG I hear FFVII is pretty good/is definitely awesome.

If you want a newer RPG the knights of the old republic games are really really good.

The elder scrolls games are even better.

When I look for a rpg/single-player game, i want it to be customizable, with free expansions to download off the internet. The stories and challenges never end.

I absolutely love Oblivion. It's really alot more fun if you download the free addons from tesnexus. A personal favorite of mine is Midas Magic. Not only does it give you extra spells it comes with new quests, npcs, items, mounts, etc.

Fallout 3 is pretty awesome too (xbox 360), but I haven't been able to try it on the PC with any addons. Personally, I didn't like it as much as Oblivion, but I might if I had addons/patches etc
