i watching all thing in my pc :D
I watch it on my desktop
TV: Samsung 52" LN-52A650
Bose AM-15 (I know, they arent the best - but got em CHEAP!)
Harmon/Kardon AVR645
PS3
HP Slimline (For youtube and BS)
And because I've got a 100% gigabit network, my PS3 can play MKV's using PS3mediaserver from my MBP.
Took some planning and LOTSA price matching :D
It really depends how much you wanna spend, and how much you actually care about what you're seeing/hearing. It's best to buy your own receiver, and pick speakers to suit what you want (obviously diff brands have different sounds, and everyone hears differently.)
Denon AVR-990 receiver, Polk monitor 50s as my surrounds, rti a9's as my front, and a couple klipsch XF-48's as the rear, and a Polk CS2 in the center. I'm just running a 52" Sony, off of my HTPC (same as you, my old gaming machine... Athlon 64X2 3800+ and an 8800GT output through HDMI) Which streams everything from my main PC, I plan to move the HDD's over to the HTPC itself soon... once they are full. I would NEVER buy a HTIB or one of those bookshelf systems. Most of the time they are overpriced and sound like poo... Haven't used my PS3 for streaming but I suppose it would work just the same. :P

Thanks to Freedom for repping me in.
I just use my desktop computer. 15" CRT from the days of yor. I really need to buy an LCD, but never really get around to it.
-Samsung LED 46"
-2.1 Speakers atm
-HTPC running Ubuntu 9.10 backend, XBMC frontend (has bluray player but no software to play blurays yet)
-Xbox 360
-Wii
that is my setup and I love it :)
Nice thread!
My setup consists of a 40" Sony Bravia TV connected to my PC via HDMI cable which runs into my ATI Radeon 4870. From here I have my PC on my television.
Further to this, if someone wants to use the PC at the same time as a movie is to be watched, I share my media through my PS3 which keeps the PC free fur use.
Only issue is that the PC has to be next to the TV for the HDMI cable to reach. Other than that, I love it!
