Default Poll: Would you find a Wii Soft Mod Tutorial Helpful

All of those that have had anything to do with the Wii modding scene lately knows how quickly the scene is moving and progressing and constantly battling it out with Nintendo..

There are MANY MANY MANY guides out there and MANY MANY MANY ways of modding your system. After modding my wii both soft mod and hard mod quite a whiles ago and recently "catching up with the scene" i was very confused with the amount of options out there. These options will only expand and get outdated as the newer verions come in.

I have recently considered trying to maintain a guide to modding your wii from start to finish. I do not intend on writing this myself but merely compiling info from the multitude of sources out there for T-I users to be able to keep up to date with the scene and hopefully inspire a bunch of you to consider modding your own wii.

Although I don't have a Wii, I've seen a modded box with the Homebrew Channel before, and I have to say I was very impressed. I'm a big classic gamer so the idea of NES, SEGA MASTER, and other 8-bit era stuff all in one place really appealed to me.

I have a Wii, haven't done it yet, but I have been checking all the options out. I just don't think there is a reason for yet another guide out there on the web. If you're bored, go for it, but I don't think it would be necessary with all the other guides available (like you said.)

There is already a guide on T-I but I never decided to update it.

MAXIMUMdem and I are thinking of collaborating our ideas to make a new guide which hopefully will be a massive guide for modding every inch of a wii.

It would be great. I'm thinking about modding my Wii as it hardly ever being used lately, but there is just too much info out there and often it's not up to date. I'm a bit hesistant for know as I don't want to brick the console :)

Hmm, I'm actually surprised there isn't one on T-I already. I've already softmodded my Wii; but yeah, I like the idea. If you're able to maintain the thread and keep it up-to-date, go for it. It's always nice to see what else I could do to that console.

I have researched it before and looks a bit tough to do, if you do one make it an easy tutorial with pictures for a noob like me ha ha.

yeah, well there is heaps of info out there and it would be easy enough to put it all together but the hard thing is keeping up with it.

Yeah, I think it would be very helpful. Soft modding was the best thing I've ever done to my wii :P

Free games and all I had to do was put an SDCard in and click around the screen a few times haha.

a youtube guide to go with it would be nice, but not necessary of course.
