Thread: Which do you prefer; Rap or Rock? Why?

Sup fellas, I love these kinds of threads, people get mad and fight over what's better music...

Rap or Rock? Which genre do you prefer? Don't spam. Why do you prefer rock over rap or vice versa?

I believe rap is better, but hey I am just an OG haha... You will definitely see people fighting over what is better when it comes to rap and rock. I like rap though because I grew up with country and that was forced upon me until I became a teenager then I started listening to my own music and what the other kids in school was listening to and just kinda got hooked, it was nice to feel independent.

I love rock and I don't like Rap, I think they're different genres and you can't say which is better, you can just say which is your favourite

"Rock" is better to me. Obviously what "godblesscy" said is true. We just can't say that this genre is better than that genre- it's only personal choice!

personally i like both almost equally because i grew up listening to both. Rap from school and certain friends and also now from my hubby i like to listen to rap, then there is rock which was from another part of my school years and till this day i like very much. So I cant really choose from one genre to another

depends or what rock and rap.
i prefer rock but some rappers are also good.
eminem and ice cube are my favorite rappers.
listen both and be happy :)

I love both, though I used to be obsessed with metal and rock and prog, nowadays I mostly listen to indie pop-rock and rap (Lupe, Kid Cudi, B.o.B and people like them)

I prefer rap, has its own language, tells a more current reality, makes numerous social critics, and is more directed to those less fortunate

I definitely prefer Rock.

I used to love Rap once, then moved on to Rock and started hating Rap.

Realize now that no genre is better than the other. Every genre caters to specific tastes. Some people like Rock, others Rap, others Pop. Its just like that.

Its wrong to debate on which is better. None is better.
