Thread: Do you download FLAC or MP3 ?

I download both most of the times, FLAC so I can play it at home and MP3 to play on my MP4player

I don't hear any difference between a well done 192kbps (or more) mp3 and FLAC. And I don't believe that most other people would do in a real blind test. So I'll stick to mp3.

I never could figure out how to play the flac files (never really bothered to look into it honestly) I usually just grab whatever I want, regardless of file type. I'm more concerned with bitrate and shit like that. Meh, good old MP3 doesn't fail me tho. Haha

My opinion, Always have flac(loseless audio) for your archive. Then you can convert to any format you want when you need to i.e mp3

i have almost my entire music collection in FLAC, exept the few not available in FLAC. Then i convert it to something smaller for my iPod.

I only get MP3 but with quality and I’m pleased with them. Besides I have no HD space to deal with the FLAC file sizes as I already have enough problems dealing with the many TV series that I get and affording a bigger HD is something that I can’t think about now because life is not easy at the moment.

Mp3. Much easier. Maybe when usage of Flac is easy, i will just move to Flac. =P

I prefer MP3, occupy less space on my hard disk.:D

MP3 where possible because nothing I play music on will allow anyone to notice the different. The only time I download FLACs is when it's the only thing available, such as on the dimeadozen tracker.
