Thread: Do you download FLAC or MP3 ?

Only mp3, never downloaded FLAC infact :S

i love FLAC but can't find them anywhere. the trackers i use dont carry them for the most part.

mp3, flac is only favorite album.

You could always try STMusic,Elektronik & TT for electronic music..

FLAC is too much effort.. besides, iPod can't do flac.

does TT stand for torrentech? I can't seem to find much in the way of FLAC there....

also, is there really no way to play FLAC on an ipod? must it be transcoded to ALAC?

I would try to get into What.cd or Waffles.fm for FLAC. I got into what not too long ago and it has a lot of flacs. iPods do not play FLACs at all (iTunes does not even support them either) so V0s are the best way to go for that.

Actually, you can play FLACs on iPods. You need to replace the standard iPod FW with alternative FW like Rockbox or iPod Linux. Both of them can play FLAC. However, some of the newest iPods haven't got alternative FWs yet.

If you use alternative FW, iTunes isn't needed to put music on your iPod. You can just copy & paste the music across.
