    Maybe my hearing is impaired or something, but usually I can't even tell the difference between 128kbps MP3 and the original.

    once oink died, it was a lot harder for me to find FLACs.. any suggestions?

    I love FLAC, but unfortunately I'm not on any decent music trackers so they're few and far between.

    Normally download 320kbps mp3's as to find a difference between that and flac files is quite difficult (althought I know flac is a better codec).

    MP3s in the V0 VBR format is the way to go. It has great quality (no difference from FLAC on my speakers/headphones) and is half the size of a comparable CBR MP3. Unless I'm downloading the FLAC to convert and seed as a V0...

    I used to get MP3s, but I started using FLACs and I'm addicted, hurt my what.cd ratio though :(
