    Hi,

Ive been trying really hard to be an active member in this community and help out this community as much as i can. Last night in the introduction page i spent like 6 hours looking at introductions, asking people to make proper amendments etc.

Now after 10 to 12 replies the user gets everything correct, and so i rep him

but after i had reped 5 people i was wondering how much more i can do.... the introductions were totally fine, there was no mistake with it, the users had done what they had to do...

    so my question goes

what should i do... should i rep them in or what ?

You shouldn't be repping in users that take 10-12 replies to get it right, just ignore bad intros and let them be locked after the 4 day mark.

You can sit in there repping people all day if you want. So long as their intro's are good.

I used to do it a fair bit but now I don't like giving anyone 11 rep points straight up, what they really need is to bring back the thanks button and lock 10% users from being able to use the intro forum until they have sorted out the new system.

yea i totally agree with you but 1 reason why sometimes it goes till 10-12 replies is because some people take just 5 times to get their ratios properly edited.... then once they do the speedtest is not a direct link...

now their ratio's and speedtests are fine but not according to the community standards....

in that sense i takes sometimes longer... thats all

I still think 10-12 replies are excessive. If they cannot follow the rules and get it all done within a few edits, then they definitely aren't getting a rep from me. All up to you though, after all, it is your name on the line.

    hahahahahaha rightly said....

well what i have started doing is that if things take too long and im not 100% sure... then after all the alterations are done according to the community standards, i leave the message

"Let a senior member come and take a review over it. If he finds it ok. He'll rep you in"
