    i hear good thing about honda, and volvo always have great safety. if you want good gas millage, you can get hybrid.

    Not sure of what that'll get you in the UK market, but it depends more on what you need? 4-doors? 2-doors? RWD, FWD, AWD? Does gas mileage matter? Narrow those (and more) down and I'm sure cars you like will start popping right up

    if you were in north america i'd say a honda fit. what's the equivalent of that over there?
