You could never go wrong with a honda civic as a first car with the reliability they offer, low maintenance costs, and fuel efficiency. My first ride was a 90 civic hatchback. I currently own a 97 civic ex sedan. I'd also recommend a toyota corolla.

My first car was a light blue Skoda it was too long ago I can't remember what year it was. LOL
I would go for the civic or something like that, depends on what your into. Civics are reliable. but something like a rw drive 200sx or if you can find an older gen 3 Eclipse, you gonna have a lot more fun!
TOYOTA will never let you down, and will take all the crap you can offer.
