Thread: Favorite media player and why?

Which do you prefer?
Personally I use itunes since I like that I can pull up the album art for the things I download quickly, but if it wasn't for that feature I'd probably switch to winamp.

I may catch some heat for this but I just use WMP 11. I would use 12 but I haven't upgraded up to Windows 7 yet :001_tongue:

MediaMonkey is by far the best media player!

Foobar 2000 is my app of choice.

could i say VLC....
i think it's a all in one media player.....
i like the simple stuff....

I'll second VLC. It does everything and plays everything.

VLC is nice, but the player that truely manages everything, especially hi-def content and complex .mkv's is CCCP's mplayer: CCCP - Combined Community Codec Pack

I'll be the first to say... Winamp. :D

Hasnt anyone tried kmplayer its better than vlc for playin HD
