yeah so why are speeds in europe so orgasmicly different from US providers??? is there more competition there or is it a higher standard?

I believe it is because the government in the UK are lazy bastards, and wont replace the old shitty copper wires, which give a maximum of 24meg, with new fibre ones
Its not like that in all of Europe, Sweeden have some of the fastest connections in the world :P
