Thread: How old were you when you first got out with a boyfriend/girlfriend?

I was just wondering... when is the appropriate age to start dating/go out with a boyfriend/girlfriend.
Well... if not the appropriate, then the age which most of us have done that.



I guess I have to start... I am 15 years old and I haven't gone out with a girl yet.

As a father of two girls myself dating age is all about maturity. A mature and responsible 14 year old (like my daughter, someone must like me) can go on semi-unsupervised dates. For example last week I took her and her boy friend out to the movies, let them go see one movie while I was in the theater watchnig something else. I trust her and know that I did everything I could, so I can only hope for the best because I believe kids will find a way to date weather we want them to or not and I'd rather be invovled at least a little.

Well I dated in school, and I thought holding hands was 2nd base at the time lol. I would say I was between 13-15 was my 1st time ;) Love the ladies...

i went out when i was like 14 i think, it was 10 yrs ago when times were different though, now i see kids that are 8 with cell phones and 10 yr old holding hand, i really hope i dont have any girls

I don't even know, earlier than 10. I grew up in a small community and the next door neighbor and I, the young girl - it was like everyone just expected us to grow up together and be in love.

Basically that's what happened, we did everything together, dated until we I was 19 and she was 18 (2 years ago) and then broke it off (sorta).

I suppose it depends on how you define dating? If you mean when did we start having sex? Not until I was 18 *shrug*.

my parents were very strict they didnt want me to have anything to do with a guy till I was 18 so i started dating at 14-15 that is when i had my first boyfriend. and that is the thing if you are too strict with your children they will do things behind their back. I know i did everything behind their back. and I always found someone to cover for me. When i was 15 I was pretty mature for my age so my big brother who was already married would pick me up and he would say i was spending the night at their house so that was my way around things.

Why is the option for under 10 not there? I've been big pimpin' all my life :)
