rekstat: you don't, but chess is a sport of the International Olympic Committee :) Sport is something to compete, doesn't have to be all about the body, but mind as well. Even Starcraft is a national Korean (e-)sport :]

In my eyes it's not a sport it is competition but is a competing in a science fair a sport?

It's definitely very skillful mind game but as a sport i don't think so.

Don't get me wrong i love poker i play it regularly with my mates and at the casino.

I can count cards, i prefer blackjack for making some money but poker is fun, just not a sport.

    Sport is physical endurance.

Personally I wouldn't consider it a sport but more of an art. You really need to now how to play the game, read peoples expressions, call bluffs which is hard to do. So yeah its an art!

    I really like poker. I don't think it's a sport, it's a card game.
