True there's a lot plug and play out there that can be used with both mac nd windows. I love OSX 10.5+ it's way more advancethen any windows os out now or coming up. Can't wait for Snow leopard. Keep in mind I still used windows. I just prefer OSX over windows. Let's see how Windows 7 turns out.

Firstly, I'd like to say that PCs and MACs complement each other, we should not fight on "which is better", 'better' is such a subjective description and it is entirely up to the individual uses to decide.
    1. Availability of games and applications: there is no doubt that PC is the clear winner here, it is true that major games releases have their MAC versions, but, there are just too many good games that don't have MAC version. Regarding to applications, MAC does have some exclusive apps for media editing etc, but PC has other SW that does the job.
    2. Safety: Generally speaking, MAC is safer for normal users, but if you know what you are doing, PC is just as safe, I have never had any virus problems. Moreover, MAC's safety record is not because of their design, it is because the lack of popularity, no one even bothered to write something. Recently, there are just more and more MAC virus, i.e.: the iWork keygen.
    3. Hardware: to get the same hardware, you need to spent at least 40% more on a MAC, and guess what, even if you have the money, it is more likely that it is not even available for MAC
    4. Easy to use: MAC is a out of box solution, most people has no knowledge can easily operate it. On the other hand, I prefer a OS that I can change almost everything, I prefer flexibility. (I know, this is very subjective)
    5. You can run Windows on a MAC, using bootcamp, vmware or parallel. You can run patched Tiger and Leopard on a PC as well, without losing anything, you have the full functionality. (just be aware of the system update.)

i love both mac and pc in there own respects. I am a computer tech but i only service windows computers. im not great at mac's but i can make my way around. ive never owned a newer mac but i know many people that do. the only reason i do not have one is due to the price.

if you dont care for games, mac is the way to go hands down.

I almost never play games on a computer, so a Mac is good for me. It's really simple, which is nice, but sometimes restricting.
