I've had an iPhone since gen 1. The 3GS is 'finally' a great iPhone. It's so much quicker, snappier, more responsive and the apps are just the icing on the cake. I can VNC into my machines and seedboxes all over the place...take a look at Jaadu VNC...great app that just makes this device the one for me!
I think I'll go for the 3GS but if it turns out that the battery sucks, once again as it did in the previous models, I'll might consider something else ... .
