I agree Robocop was amazing, especially when it first came out.
I do think Tron was ahead of its time.
Wargames was cool though looking back, its mind boggling that the computer they used, which became 'sentient', is less powerful than cheapest handphone or semi-advanced graphics calculator of today. LOL!
Star Wars plays in a league of it's own, but aside from that, Event Horizon hands down. It's mostly a horror movie that just happens to play in space, but it's still great science-fiction too.
