    Yes.
I mean, the one thing...THE ONE THING, that you truly own in this world is your body.
the government should have no say in what you do with it.

Wow. Didn't think good ol' Jenna would ever post such an interesting type of debate here. I guess I would have to agree that people should be free to do what they want with there own bodys. There would have to be strict laws set to make sure everyone is practicing safe sex. That would have to include safe BJs, which does not seem very appealing to me. There are way to many diseases out there already to have it any other way. I live in a smaller town that does not have any hookers that I know of. That is alright with me because I could never see myself being so hard up(no pun intended) to spend money on sex or raise my chances of ever catching anything. That HIV is some pretty scary stuff. That is actually my biggest fear in life. Why risk it? The twenty minutes or so of pleasure would not be worth it to me considering I would be worried for months afterwards that I might have caught something. Just my opinion.

    "Good ole Jenna" LOL!

Well, I originally posted something on Animal Experimentation and no one commented so I figured I ought to raise the stakes. Clearly it worked.

I do think people should have control over their own body. However, it seems to me that someone forced into such a choice has lost all control over his/her own life. These are exploited, enslaved victims of terrible circumstance. The world should try to help them not leave them to such a life. Have you ever heard a prostitute say she chose that lifestyle? I certainly have not.

However, arresting and imprisoning these victims does nothing to solve the problem. Instead the law should focus on true criminals - the people that continue to enslave these victims. And victims they are no matter how hard or callous they might seem. We should be focusing on the pimps, brothel owners, sex traffickers... these are the true criminals. The enslaved should be set free not forced into further confinement.

New Zealand made prostitution legal a couple of years ago. They also made being a brothel owner a legal business as well but with strict regulations in place. No brothels are to operate within a suburban area and no schools nearby. I think by memory too there are certain background checks they make when you apply to start a brothel.

I say yes, it should be legal in all countries, it safeguards the workers which is the most important thing. Also for those who employ their services it's the safest method as the workers have constant checkups.

Have you ever heard a prostitute say she chose that lifestyle? I certainly have not

Yes I have, but the majority get into it becuase of the easy money that they can't make anywhere else.

Another reason NZ is superior to Australia. Synth, it's time to make the move buddy. Plus, you'll no longer be branded with the motto "where men are men... and the sheep are afraid."

Back on point. Yes, I firmly believe prostitution should be legalized. It's the oldest profession and passing a law will never stop it. Prohibition simply drives it underground and promotes slavery, drugs, disease and abuse. On a personal note, I've known several working girls and most progress into the biz after first becoming strippers. Staffrodore is dead on. The key motivation is usually quick money. Would you rather work 1 day as a prostitute or 30 days at minimum wage? That's what got me to transition from Manpower Australia, to high end escort, and eventually 2 movies with Jenna Jameson. Nice girl BTW. Although, she and Tommy Lee were definitely and item when he was still with Pam.

Jenna is thinking right now.. Why does it always have to come to jenna jameson! Hahahaha

    Interesting thread for sure.
I personally think that it should be legal.
Respected and looked up at, maybe not, but to each her own :001_tongue:

Some girls don't care about their image as much as they care about money.

Of course strict standards would need to be set to prevent sexually transmitted diseases.

Hmm...this is surely a tough ticket to sell....first of all...it all comes down to meeting the relgious peoples needs....last thing you want is a major portion of your voting constituents, looking to throw you out of your office.(these people i think need to keep their 2 sense out of others pockets{religious people})

    For the Prostitutes:
Also there should me major regulation, standards, health benefits, screening, prevention methods available. EXTRA COST and regulation for unprotected sex(alot of us know we dont really like condoms{but its healty}).

    For the Consumer:
Pre-screening before sex(to prevent nasties from joining), Membership(like blockbuster you need to be a member) which would inclue montly screening(for diseases), Protection from blackmailers, contracts to make sure no infromation on identity is given to media....i could go on forever...and i got a flight tomorrow...lol

Um, jenna i never did see the last debate you set up....i gotta check it out.

maybe if girls new that it was legalized, and there were programs to keep them protected from what is dangerous in the black market of prostitution, the entire situation would be a lot better.
