Thread: torrent sites closing

whats up with all these torrent sites closing ive been with araditracker since they started and suddenly their closed.. on most of these sites theres a disclaimer that no one from government etc.. can come in thier torrent sites could the torrent sites actually ban the government from entering the site by the disclaimer lol?

that's a bummer. Hope the big guys stay active.

There will always be the cat and mouse game of shutting down and reopening trackers in this day and age.

well i hope they stay around, as long as their is a RIAA there will be Torrent sites out to get them :) thats how i look at it

If the past is any indicator, authorities always go after the big dogs in mainstream, but they can't touch smaller ones. There's just way too many, too widespread, too many people keen on finding a way around the rules. Remember when Napster was huge? They shut it down. Has mp3 distribution stopped? Hell no lol

Some trackers will get scared and drop, but there will always be some finding new light. Other filesharing ways will come out too, no doubt.

Seriously. SceneHD getting threats. HDBits shutting down. There were a couple (3, IIRC) other open sign-up trackers that said they were getting threats. What the hell?

PS. Aradi was shut down like last September-ish.

yeah it sucks but 5 new ones will open to replace the one that closes

HDBits shutting down? what this is news to me!

A lot of these sites are shutting down now,cause there servers won't host them no longer. Some just in fear others because they were told to. Just like the Malayshian government told the one server company (i forget which one) to shut down leachers lair,because there were in violation of copyright laws,for example. It definitely sucks,but it isn't the end. Just like blackdogxx said, more will open up.
