1. Beatles - because they are essentially the most important band the world has ever seen...not the best but pretty much the most important.

2. The Black Lips - home town heros that play a style of garage rock that reminds me of the 60's...plus their shows are crazy. Puke, piss, blood and tons of beer

3. Bo Diddley - the godfather of it all...if you don't dig him then you're missing out on one of rock and rolls most important players.

4. The Cramps - I love a band that doesn't take itself too seriously...all the cats in this band did some awesome stuff even the lesser members like Kid Congo...

5. Anything with Jack White...except maybe the Racs...best guitar player in popular music right now. Plus his views on the industry are pretty interesting. And he's earned the respect of the greats so he's doing something right.
