Default Which Hard Drive brand do you recommend?

In terms of internal hard drives, I've found Seagate drives to be VERY solid and I've got a Maxtor one that has been working for years (still is).
Which ones do you recommend or which ones have you had most problems with? I've had several problems with WD drives in the past (just stopped working).

How can 100% of people voted for Maxtor if 50% voted for Seagate?

Anyway I like Maxtor HDDs. Sony HDDs are unreliable. IBM HDDs aren't great either.

I want a SSD when they become cheap.

    I voted for Western Digital.

Reason: I dont know if it is just me or what it is, But my WD harddrive have survived 2 Seagate hdd-crashes as well as my Maxtor-hdd is on its way failing..

120% total votes. xD Definitely screwed. xD

But I have voted for other.
From what I have heard currently the Samsung hard-disks are the best.
I am not an expert, but that is what I read on the webpages I visit every once in a while. ^^ They all recommend that one. The 640GB or the 1TB variant. =) The fastest in the series. Don't know about robustness.
If not one of that it's a Seagate. =)

Thanks to BitLovin for my Waffles invite. ^^

I voted WD. I've been using Raptor drives with no problem for a few years now.

    I had a 40GB Samsung 3.5 IDE HDD.

It got corrupt all the time & it was very noisy. Don't think I'll be trying them again in a hurry....

Western Digital for me now. I used to buy Seagate only but recently have had multiple bad experiences with them! I lost a lot of data in the process.

Been using my WD hard drives in RAID for over 6 years, never had any problems with them at all.
