I bought WD elements 1T a month ago, still working great. But I can hear strange noise sometimes, it go 3 years warranty so I'm not worry. Still hope it will be ok cuz I am using it for torrenting.

Got my 1TB drive a week ago.

Have everything on it. With around 170GB left I'm already thinking about getting the next one and doing away with my pathetic little >200GB drives

If you like 1TB, you're probably going to like 2TB even better right? Western Digital comes to the rescue:WD Caviar Green 2 TB SATA Hard Drives ( WD20EADS )

Not the fastest, but that doesn't really matter for file archiving on a file server. I'm going to be picking up two of these in the next month after some more consumer data comes out. If anyone has any experience with this drive let us know.

I have a WD caviar 10k rpm. It's so fast you'll never go back to the normal 7800 rpm hd's

They make 10k caviars now? I thought the only drives capable of 10k rpm were the raptors.
Yes 10k rpm drives are fast but ssd is still faster.
