I've always used Seagate, never had any problems. I reckon I'm going to get a Caviar though. I don't like externals, I like to have all my hard drives in the computer.

anybody ever think (or already start ?) making multiplier storage ?
I have a Samsung 1TB HDD. Very useful, but don't think you can't fill it up!
Seagate now makes a 1.5TB HDD for $130, so that's the best price/performance ratio. Update the FW before you use it though; the original has many problems.
I am about to buy one .... :)
its really a huge thing .......... 1 terra byta...........
i am looking to have one someday .
it ll be useful to save more data on it & you wont need to delete anything cause you ve enough space .
i got a 128 gb SSD for my laptop. i used up that space way too fast, so yea looking to get a 1tb external sometime
I will buy that in near future.
I have a Western Digital Black 1TB. I think it's some "Green blablala disc" that doesn't require much power so it's good. Works perfect. Costed like 115 USD, cheap enough.
d00d, solid state drives universally beat out any spin drive, hands down, but the price for any kind of capacity is still really steep. I'm hoping they will rapidly drop in price so I can use one for my primary OS drive. But for now, I'll stick with my Seagate 7200.11 1.5TB drive. It's been really stable and fast and cost me a little over a Benjamin!
