Default Do you have a monthly bandwidth limit with your ISP?

Currently, with my ISP (Bell Sympatico - Canada) I have a max of 60 GIGS a month before I incur charges of $1.50 per GIG.

I was wondering if i'm the only one who has some sort of cap (& crap) like this. I know other ISPs in Canada, like Rogers, have something similar. But what about ISPs in the States? Or Europe?

Does your ISP have a limit on how much data you can transfer in a month? If so, how much?

my ISP is Bredbandsbolaget(English: BroadbandCompany, sounds bad ;p) in Sweden.

I have absolutely no download or upload cap. Last month I downloaded and uploaded just over 2TB

i used to be on a cable ISP and for each Gig you exceed over the limit you pay like $7. I found this out the hard way. I downloaded the 1st month for like 100Gig and i had a monthly limit of 20Gig. So the next month i was on a diet of white bread and water ;)

I live in the Netherlands, and there we have a so called fair use policy. ^^
What technically means you can download whatever you want. ^^ You might get a warning with very heavy usage, but haven't heard anything about it. ^^ Even with that warning you won't ever get disconnected. =)

( Btw, because of some flaws in the laws it's completely legal to download music as long as it's for home usage. Uploading ain't though. )

You guys with limits(Drunkenbum, inar666,spirit), How do you keep up your ratio with that low limit?

I mean.. Inar666 got a limit of 20GB/month.. If i look in Bandwidth Monitor, I have transfered 30GB today(and counting!)

I can honestly say that I feel sorry for your limits ;p

5MBd/0.5Mu 60GB limit (no charge but they send you a nasty note...). I can upgrade speed and cap to 100 or 150 but I am OK with what I have (ususally...).

I can switch ISPs to get rid of cap (and have same speed) and I am considering that.
