The federal tax on cigarettes went from .39 to 1.01, the largest increase ever. Where I live the cigarettes I smoke (Newports) are $8.73 after tax, but I can buy them on Fort Lewis for much cheaper!

Ours have gone up quite a bit, almost %75 overall, about 2 months ago I paid $25 for a carton, now I am paying $41
Time to quit....

good thing i dont smoke phew
after taxes a pack of marlboro red cost me about $4.50 which is an increase cuz not to long ago around here you could get yourself a pack for about 4 dollars
It might make you rethink quitting?

Doesnt really matter how much they cost. The addiction is so great people will pay whatever to get them.
