And in reference to much earlier posts, I find it sad that people hate their countries so much. Though they didn't define which it was, i got a general feeling of who they were talking about. Sometimes we may not agree, but that doesn't mean we have to turn our back on where we came from.

I had an very enlightening conversation with a cab driver in Cork, Ireland about this very topic. The basic conclusion was that the United States has done some very good things, and its also done some bad things, but regardless its given me the freedom to think what I want and to look at other cultures and decide where I really want to be. And when I'd like to change some things, its because I want to help my country and everyone I know here to reach that ideal. The fact that we haven't reached it just means that we need to strive to improve ourselves.
