Thread: Do you play any instruments ?

This is an interesting questions i think. Playing an instrument is something nice and a privilege. I play piano, well, i have just learned to, but im keen on it and i hope to do good. If you play any instrument, than you can vote at this poll :

What instrument do you play ?

I used to play Saxo two years ago. Fun while it lasted.

I'm primarily a bass player, but it's not an option here. I picked guitar, though I do dabble in other instruments.

piano and violin, I finished my arct in piano, different time in my life thanks for the memory's.

Sorry to the guys whose instruments didnt show up in the voting list, but certainly i made the list at late night and i couldnt remember more instruments. Anyway you can still show us what instruments do you play. Its a good thing to know that users of TI have culture and knowledge !

Guitar, with a strong tendency towards acoustic/blues/bluegrass stuff, I recently "discovered" DADGAD tuning and I LOVE it.

A couple of things to explain what I like:

YouTube - duck swamp dadgad style - Not that difficult to learn and perfect to demonstrate your abilities to unsuspecting people on their own guitar.
Without a word, take their guitar, tune it to DADGAD by ear, play this, tune it back to EADGBE, give the guitar back. Guaranteed results with the ladies :laugh:

YouTube - Man of Constant Sorrow - fingerstyle guitar - This is in drop D tuning, it's hard as hell to learn but it's absolutely awesome.
I'm working on it, I bought the tabs and I must say they're the best written tabs I've ever seen... and I've seen a lot.

YouTube - Stevie's Blues - Lesson. - From the Master himself, a not particularly difficult 12-bar blues cycle that opens the doors to whatever improvisations you might want to add between the cycles.
Fun to learn, fun to play and fun to listen to, they tell me. :laugh:
