Japanese version of The Ring
The most horifying experience i had after many many years was "The others", its not new (i think 2001) but i still havent watched anything to match it.It has verry dark atmosphere and little scarry children.I hasnt got gruesome moments as the most new horror flicks, but thats the beauty.
Allso i would mention the "Masters of horror" series, its not that scarry but it was really interesting to watch.Especialy season 1
