no seriously, i think you have to differenciate between multiplayer and singleplayer games, not to mention the different genres..

world of warcraft definetly ;) once u play multiplayer of that kind u will never play single player again

Mass Effect for non-online play. Simply amazing the amount of work they put into this game.

RPG: Neverwinter Nights 1-2 OR Oblivion

Console (I own an XBox360):
Action: GTA4
FPS: Halo3

The last game I played which I liked best is Bioshock.
