    Default Help me with my schoolwork!

    Ok so I got your attention with the title, I'm not really the lazy kid I sound like though. I don't need help really, just suggestions!

    For one of my classes this quarter, I have to give a survey to a group of at least 25 people and I would love to come up with a survey I could give to fellow torrenters such as all of you! The problem is, I don't want to explicitly acknowledge that I, or any of you are involved in any sort of illegal behavior. So this is where you come in, what kinds of questions should I ask, what overall topic should I choose that would meet the requirements of my assignment but stay within legal boundaries?



    My thoughts at this point are to ask questions about media consumption, regardless of how it is acquired, or perhaps specific media questions in music or movies, or TV shows.

    So what do you think?

    My little brainstorm on this subject. Hope it helps in any way :)

    How do you prepare yourself before you acquire a movie? (IMDB score only, reviews by users/papers, friends, read the book etc)

    How much time do you use on preparing yourself before acquiring a movie? (An hour - 10 mins - 3 mins - second - care?)

    You are watching a movie, but it is very uninteresting. How likely are you to skip the rest of the movie before the end? (Some are addicted to the ends no matter what. I'm not, I would have skipped "Another Earth halfway if it hadn't been for my friends)

    Your favorite TV show is on. How much snack/coca cola did you buy? (Or how much snack do you consume during your tv/movie time?)

    How much money did you spend on your movie/TV cage?

    What technology is your screen (plasma, led, lcd, old tube tv, projector) and audio (surround, stereo, headset, mono, perhaps HIFI setup) setup?

    You saw the last episode in a season and it was a cliffhanger. (Spoiler: Dexter season 6..) How upset are you / how long do you talk about that last episode?

    You have seen all the episodes of a show you really like. How likely are you to buy a season? (You could watch it legally on tv right..)

    You have a good tv (1080p) and have 3 different movies with different qualities: A normal DVD, Bluray in 720p and Bluray in 1080p. Is the price really worth it? (This goes for us "illegal" people as well I think. Not everyone can afford loads of gigabytes less in ratio)

    Is your audio setup hifi or lofi? Can you feel the difference between a CD (Flac) and mp3 quality (spotify and compressed rips of your own music)?

    How large is your music/game collection?
