All I look for when purchasing new phone is:
1) It has speaker phone! This is a MUST. If the phone I'm interested in does not have it it is instantly DQ'ed.
2) QWERTY keyboard
That is all that is absolutely essential. It is nice to have the option for polyphonic ring tones and web browsing capabilities, but again, not necessary.
Good, long working batteries and 3G

so far the design should be nice.and not to expensive for a little student ^^
Looks, I like sleek ones. Something that looks like an alien that landed to earth to hand you a new device beyond our comprehension. Haha. Also, any cool features, I never get tired of them. And it is a big plus for me if the phone has a long battery life. Oh, and a camera with 5 megapixels or better. Because I want my phone to be like a very portable media center.

i dont need a cam, if i want to take pictures, i would buy a cam...
when i buy phone, this is important:
1. big screen
2. wi-fi
3. loud speakers
4. nice cam
