I would say the best way to deal with betrayal is not to get betrayed =P. Just kidding. I'm was able to get over my phone stolen by a exfriend that I thought was close to by getting even. Although I really feel as the wasn't the best option I had. I also wasn't going to let slide. Maybe play with them socially? I pretty much made that guy the laughing stock out of my area. Biggest inside joke in the hood. So if you don't wanna get snoop to their level just get them where it really hurts aka their social life.
