Download Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle by Tom Venuto. I'm not a reader, but I read this whole ebook in one sitting.
@P2P_seeder- did it work for you then?
Yeah. Eating right is 90% of the formula. Only 10% is exercise.
First, write down everything you eat, and how much you train, as well as record your weight so you can get a good overview on your patterns. Then develop strategies to deal with it. One strategy; see how many calories you need to maintain your current weight and then cut down on about 500 kcalories every day. This is the basic part - a little bit more advanced is to look at the ratio between fat, carbs and protein and read up on the kinds that are better for your health (slow carbs will for instance keep your blood sugar levels more stable). Training wise, long walks are probably the easiest (but not exactly the most efficient way time wise) to cut down on weight; the most efficient seems to me to be kettle bells training.

I lost 12 pounds since Memorial Day just counting calories. I use Free Calorie Counter, Diet & Exercise Journal | MyFitnessPal.com and keep diligent (almost obsessive) records. Hard part is the discipline and vigilance it takes, but once you get that handled, then it's easy.
