How is a Mac laptop better for school?

I would say PCs are better for schools, as it is more compatible with more software packages & more file formats.

I wouldn't trust Sony with anything.

Sony are the people that made a rootkit that automatically installed itself off their blank disks. Ever since this came to light, I have never trusted them.

I was meant as something like that indeed. ^^ But it are the reasons why people mostly think a mac is better. =)

I don't get it, they have never looked under the hood or toughed about using iTunes & Quicktime with everything... [ You don't have to but for most things... One thing Apple rest has to be Apple too... ]

    BitMe, Thank you Cheesy!! =D
Thanks to BitLovin for my Waffles invite. ^^

My biggest problem with the newer laptops, is that the integrated wireless & bluetooth adapters never works with Linux. Very few vendors provide Linux drivers either.

    If backtrack 3 won't work on it, I won't use it. :P

I have to say that I agree with you.

IBMs are very solid & they work with most Linux distros very well.
