Thread: ATI or NVIDIA?

ATI had superior hardware for a long time before nVidia shook up the market with the release of the 8800s. It then took ATI a strangely long time to bring a DX10 product to market, but now they've gotten back on their feet with their latest generation of cards and it's a very close race.

I use to me an nVidia guy until I started building computers for other people. ATi makes a more marketable graphics card imo. I personally like both companies, don't get me wrong, they both make a wonderful product. ATi outshines nVidia as far as gaming goes in my eyes. My 19" HD monitor did not like my nvidia card, and as soon as I through a 256MB ATi card in there it was wonderful. Both cards were hooked up properly, so I'm not sure what the issue was.

Not tryin' to knock nVidia but I will forever be an ATi person :)

nvidia is good but it is expensive

NVIDIA is way better than ATI! I had an ATI video card and it broke down, so...NVIDIA is better...

I had an ATI once. It burned out on me (small oc) Now my nVidia 8800 is serving me very well (pretty good oc).
