Thread: ATI or NVIDIA?

Nvidia is the better company at the moment, i'm currently in the process of getting evga gtx260 BE, a very nice card, not the newest i know, but very nice anyway

ati = kicks ass but gets warmer than hell

Is really up to the buyer, ati is cheaper while nvidia is more expensive. Some times the comparisons are close but it seems that generally Nvidia excels more at times. It can be very selective though.

I went with an ATI build because of the budget and I'm happy with the card, I do not mind going with nvidia on a next build though hopefully by then I'll have a greater budget.

i have both a Nivida on my pc and a ATI on my laptop

i could say that i definitely prefer the Nivida the colours are more beautiful and gaming on the pc is much more awesome.

NIVIDA IS THE BEST

i have stuck to ATI for the past 5 years after being with NVIDIA. however i realised its just dumb to be loyal to a company and just go for whats the best value.

there seems to be so many cards on the market these days, i find it hard to make a decision, as i am one of those people that has to research and read lots of reviews

Just get the best possible I think.
If you want to install Linux on the system, I recommend Nvidia + Intel because Linux always has trouble with ATI.

I've had a lot of trouble with ATI so I got an NVIDIA and so far no trouble.
