    AMD (who bought ATI) are not doing so well lately:

    I think I will stick with NVIDIA. Then again, recently ATI cards have had much better linux support.

    I own both, so whichever card is the best value:performance at the time I guess.

    I have always gone with Nvidia. Never had one problem with my gpu. Can't say that about anything else in my comp...

    I've always gone with Nvidia. I'm not incredibly computer hardware fluent, my friend helped me build this PC. Haven't had anything go wrong with it yet!

    I was thinking about picking up an EVGA nVidia 512mb card for my Linux box- any comments/ideas?

    nVidia i guess, i wouldnt go for ATI.
