firefox used to use ie

IE is always behind. FIrefox has had tabs for ages, and only IE7 onwards actually had it. Firefox has had superior pop-up blockers for ages, and IE only has just got one that works remotely well. Firefox has had compatibility on multiple OSs, including OSX, Windows, Linux, BSD etc, IE only natively works on Windows. Firefox has loads of incredible add-ons, which IE can't compete with.

It all boils down to whether you are willing to try something different or not.

EDIT - With Fx's poor performance recently, and the newer IEs getting a lot better, I'm now not so sure.

I use Firefox .
Because Firefox has a lot of addons like ADBlock Plus,ScrapBook,Stylish,GreaseMonkey,...
All of these addons are powerful.
