i'd save 3/4 of it, buy myself a car, a new sound system, new hq headphones, gow3, shopping spree at the best mall and then invest the rest somewhere smart

With a million €/USD/£ i would buy a house, 2 cars (one for family transportation, probably a BMW 550i and a smaller one to myself/to my wife for small travells and save some part of it to the graduation of my daughter that is about to born in 4 months and if possible i would travel a while to some countries i would love to visit...
xD
first off sort out the family, then i would have one massive party with everything free with everyone i know :P
I'd pay off the rest of my mortgage.
I'd change my car to the one I want now, not something crazy though.
I'd change the wife's car.
I'd finish the 90% finished house we live in.
I'd put in the shed/outhouse at the end of the garden so its can be my gymn.
I'd sort out my computer room into a decent office.
There would be a holiday in there somewhere too, nothing over the top though.
I reckon the above would use about half, and then to build it up again:
I'd reduce the hours I work to about 2-3 days a month meaning any earnings from gambling are tax free still.
I'd then get into trading in the horse race gambling scene to build up some more money.
I'd begin my sports arbitrage career to further boost my money - with a bank roll of $500,000 I'd see a return of $50,000 each month (thats $600,000/yr!) with about 25hrs a week work!
Job done, life sorted, inheritance taken care of for my kid(s), pension scheme check, quality of life soaring!![]()

wow rooster you really have it all planned out.
I would proably buy myself a place, some where quiet away from the city.
A few nice cars, and invest some money in bussiness, which pays out in the long run.
