well the rules are vague when it comes to whether a member who was seriously trying to maintain a ratio but just could not. I mean he should be able to reach out to this community and get help maintaining a decent ratio, either by the lending of a seed box, or bonus points or upload credits. So I think that yes a neg igiver is warranted in those circumstances also, unless there is a plausible explanation

If he asked for an account and didn't try to use it at all that is a lot different from struggling with a ratio. Not downloading or uploading anything, not having any stats at all is being completely inactive. I see members like that all the time at my trackers. He wasn't banned for having a bad ratio he was banned for never using his account. Don't ask for trackers if you aren't going to use them and if he really needed help there's lots of things he could have done. Sounds like he didn't even try, no traffic at all isn't even a ratio issue it's a collecting issue.

Dumbass behavior like that should be a bannable offense here, I don't know what kind of message we are sending if the worst that happens to guys like him is a negative igiver here. That's a really light slap on the wrist.

well he is not violating any of the rules of our forum that is why it is not a ban-able offense, and btw there were two different examples given, so the above was in answer to the second question

^^^Sounds like he didn't use the account at all.

That was the example I'm referring to. If asking for accounts your not going to use isn't against the rules it should be imo.

What do I do? I'm going to PM the user here on T-I to ask for an explanation.

Never done it yet... Has anybody else handed out negative feedback here yet?
I have a similar situation right now with two of my invitees. It puzzles me that people asks for an invite, makes the account, and then doesnt upload or download anything for two weeks (as it is in my case). I guess i'll send them an pm if nothing has happened after three weeks...

What if someone gets an invite, uses the tracker for a while, but eventually comes to the conclusion the tracker was not all it was trumped up to be? Would that warrant negative feedback?

I can understand negative feedback for not using an account at all or running up a really bad ratio, but for losing interest in the tracker? I think that's a bit harsh though I agree that a PM to your invitee would be a common courtesy.

The reason I ask this is I did my research on BCG, read the all reviews on T-I about it, and got an account through BCG's open invite (not through any invitee on T-I). I've tried it out, and frankly not all that impressed given the huge praise it always gets. I figure I'll ensure I have a good ratio on it, and I'll probably visit it every so often, but honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if I got pruned eventually. I did my research, and gave it an honest go, but it did not meet my expectations...so why would I get a negative feedback for getting pruned if I had gotten an invite to BCG from someone here on T-I?
