Thread: WARNING: new xbox360 ban wave

if you are playing cod:bo or m.o.h and get an update request by live (considering the fact that you allready had the game updated priviously),
DO NOT download it!
it will not only cause a ban from xbox live it will also make the game unplayable forever not matter what you do, formating the hdd dosent help, neither disconnecting from live.

also forgot to mention halo reach
just be carfull and remember if you get prompd to dl xbox dashboard update/new in-game update not only should you decline but disconnect (physicly) your internet connection because IT WILL try to download it for you even if you decline and even if you turned your xbox off.

also heard this problem dosent happen on LT+ and also if you update the game again via abgx360 1.5 and re-burn it, you should be ok.
no guarentee's though, try to ask people who allready done it if it helps...

Are you talking about the new dashboard update that added dvd autoplay again? You can read about it on 20/21 January at www.xboxscene.com Don't know so much about it myself because I use a unmodded xbox now, my last one was banned so just buy my games now.

yes, if you can find a link to a post that has more information about it please share it here.

There's a 31 page thread about it here and a 36 page thread here from team xecuter about it. Seems to depend on which firmware you had flashed and if you tired to boot the games or not. To long threads for me though, so you have fun reading
