Nah although COD is great, Gran Turismo 5 comes out soon - Finally! Best game of the year imho :)
I love Fallout 3 and New Vegas. The reason is that I highly mod the game - right now my Fallout 3 game exceeds 30gb and my New Vegas is around the 10gb area - to make it more realistic, almost to the point where it is a simulator.

My Timeless Classics
I don't know about which is the best, but these games are certainly some of the greatest i've played:
BLACK - amazing game, unbelievable for its time. Can't wait for bodycount, if there were a game that would force me to get a PS3 im sure this would be it.
GTA San Andras - Really nice game with plenty of mission, of various verities.
God Of War (1) - An amazing game, that is just brutal.
Need For Speed Most Wanted / Revenge - Simply the best racing games i've played.
Kingdom Hearts Series - My childhood best game, with all the wacky Disney characters and amazing story i don't see how i can't include this here.
Godhand - Well i really enjoyed this game, fast paced beat'em'up.
COD MW2 - I really enjoyed the game, and its probably one of my favorite FPS games.
MAFIA 2 - Played it til my Graphics card crashed, didn't finish it but what i played was excellent. LOVED the storyline.
Then there are all the classic SEGA and nintendo games but i won't go into that =].
If i remember any other timeless classic games i've played i'll be sure to edit this post =].
P.S - Im LOLing at all those who call Black Ops "Best Game Ever", and like another person mentioned its not even game of the year xD.
